The Peace Dollar is highly sought after by collectors, as it experienced one of the briefest minting periods of any U.S. currency and also was the last Silver Dollar to be minted. This popular design was minted from 1921 to 1928, then again in 1934 and 1935 due to changes in legislation.
Anthony di Francisci's Peace Dollar was the result of a contest looking for a new dollar design. His unique rendition of Lady Liberty was based on the actual Statue of Liberty, resulting in a patriotic and familiar look. The eagle on the reverse clutches an olive branch in its talons, symbolizing peace and commemorating the peace seen after WWI.
The U.S. Mint
The U.S. Mint has been the producer of some of the most iconic coins in U.S. history. The Peace Dollar series is another testament to the Mint’s craftsmanship, offering a timeless piece of American numismatic heritage. - Specifications

Bought 10, all ten are philly’s. No biggie I’m not hunting mint marks I just love these coins. 8 of these came in fantastic condition, AU or better, they’re gorgeous coins. I got a good spread from 1922 to 1928 with a nice mix of dates. Two of these coins are circulated, they aren’t horrible but they’ve got coin sorting machine scars and a grimy tone to them. It’s luck of the draw with these and overall I am pleased with my purchase.
- Cons
- Common (higher mintage)
- Bottom Line
- Yes, I would recommend this to a friend.

I absolutely LOVE these. I’ve purchased many peace dollars from Apmex of all conditions. I’ve bought BU to F but these are by far the biggest bang for your buck. Not only were 5 of the 20 I purchased easily in BU condition but I got SUPER lucky with mint marks. I received many San Fransico’s and one of the 5 BU was a Denver! I am beyond pleased with this incredible tube of 20 I bought and AU is definitely the way to go with Peace Dollars. You’ll get the biggest variety with the lower grades too because BU Peace Dollar tubes are just 1922 and 1923 philly’s.
- Pros
- Value (low premium over spot)
- Attractive Design
- Collectible (lower mintage)
- Easy to Sell
- Mint Condition
- Recognized Brand
- Bottom Line
- Yes, I would recommend this to a friend.

I wish APMEX would just say “random 1922-23 p peace dollars. I’m a blue collar guy that just ordered 10 “1922-1925” random date Peace dollars. I received 10 1922 p Peace dollars. It would’ve been nice to even have gotten a 1923 p thrown in. I’m not sure if I’ll order from here again. The coins were in the condition mostly as advertised, but come on, all TEN were 1922p’s?!?
- Pros
- Recognized Brand
- Cons
- Common (higher mintage)
- Bottom Line
- No, I would not recommend this to a friend

I ordered one of the 1922-1925 Peace Silver Dollar AU (Random Year). I received a 1923 coin. It came in a thick plastic sleeve which I liked. The issue is the coin is pretty rough looking for an almost uncirculated coin. It had more wear than I expected.
- Cons
- Poor Condition
- Bottom Line
- No, I would not recommend this to a friend
