The Peace Dollar is highly sought after by collectors, as it experienced one of the briefest minting periods of any U.S. currency and also was the last Silver Dollar to be minted. This popular design was minted from 1921 to 1928, then again in 1934 and 1935 due to changes in legislation.
Anthony di Francisci's Peace Dollar was the result of a contest looking for a new dollar design. His unique rendition of Lady Liberty was based on the actual Statue of Liberty, resulting in a patriotic and familiar look. The eagle on the reverse clutches an olive branch in its talons, symbolizing peace and commemorating the peace seen after WWI.

These are NOT random years. I’ve bought numerous peace dollars over the years from APMEX and I can’t complain about the condition but from about 50 coins there were only about 3 that were not 1922 or 1923 - Philly even with specific requests. So random is not an accurate representation.
- Pros
- Value (low premium over spot)
- Attractive Design
- Mint Condition
- Cons
- Common (higher mintage)
- Bottom Line
- Yes, I would recommend this to a friend.

I purchased one of these coins last week, and received a 1923 silver dollar in a timely manner. I was very thrilled to see that the coin that I received was in pristine condition. There was a slight discoloration in the edge, but other than that, the coin was bright, blast-white, and in practically mint state condition. The radiant cartwheeling was very pronounced, and the fields very clean. The Peace Dollar is a testament to American values, history, and beauty, and I would therefore like to thank APMEX for sending me such a wonderful specimen.
- Pros

- Attractive Design
- Easy to Sell
- Mint Condition
- Cons
- Common (higher mintage)
- Bottom Line
- Yes, I would recommend this to a friend.

I recently purchased ten of the random date AU Peace dollars. I would call nine 1922s and one 1923 a bit of a stretch when it comes to saying they are random. I know I will get the old "random doesn't guarantee different dates" response from APMEX, but come on. I figured I'd get some of the same coins, but nine out of the ten being the same? The condition of the coins was very nice, as some of them are a little better than AU. I was just a little bummed on all of the 1922s. As usual, the packaging was very good and I will definitely order more coins from APMEX in the future.
