I love Apmex but I was extremely displeased with this product. I understand I bought pale gold, but the coins I received look NOTHING like the pictures. The ones I have look completely silver with brown icky parts. No gold hue what so ever. It would be impossible to convince anyone they were even partially gold. They look like copper and zinc coins. Won’t be buying these again. EXTREMELY DISAPPOINTED, I expected much better quality from Apmex, or atleast for the product to look somewhat like the picture.
- Cons
- Unattractive Design
- Poor Condition
- Hard to Sell
- Bottom Line
- No, I would not recommend this to a friend

I bought what I thought were a 5 coins, instead got 3 with different size and colors. I received a small, medium and large size coins. The large look all silver the other 2 have some gold tint to them. The Arabic on them is readable which is very cool. Hoping they are indeed 1000 year old and worth the historical values for my class lectures :)
- Pros
- Value (low premium over spot)
- Collectible (lower mintage)
- Cons
- Hard to Sell
- Poor Condition
- Bottom Line
- Yes, I would recommend this to a friend.

I researched these coins before I bought them and found that they had an interesting history. They correspond directly in date with The Seljuk Sultan who grew the empire to its greatest size during his 20 year reign starting when he was 17 until he was murdered at 37. Waging these wars was expensive and led to the 80% silver 20% gold coins. BTW their composition aside their size really makes them attractive. Anyway, The Crusades followed shortly after The Sultans murder, however, there is currency called the dinar which circulates it the region in the current day 900 years + later.
- Pros
- Value (low premium over spot)
- Attractive Design
- Collectible (lower mintage)
- Easy to Sell
- Mint Condition
- Recognized Brand
- Bottom Line
- Yes, I would recommend this to a friend.
