A catastrophic misalignment frozen in time, this Cleveland Federal Reserve note suffered a dramatic foldover during production. This caused the paper to fold back upon itself before passing through the press. The result is a striking visual anomaly where portions of the design print onto the back of the folded sheet, leaving blank unprinted areas that no circulation note should ever display. Graded AU-50 by PMG, this survivor escaped the Federal Reserve's quality controls and entered circulation before anyone noticed a one-in-millions mechanical failure now preserved as a testament to the chaos that occasionally erupts on the currency production floor. - Specifications
