The 1921 Peace Dollar is considered the most beautiful date of the series by collectors. Striking the coins in high relief was hard on the dies, so in 1922 the mint switched to a much lower relief.

- Multiples of 20 are packaged in protective plastic tubes. All other coins will be in protective packaging.
- Obverse: Depicts Lady Liberty, modeled after Teresa de Francisci, wearing a radiating crown while her hair blows in the breeze.
- Reverse: Features a Bald Eagle resting on an olive branch with the word “Peace” underneath the eagle.

Order a cull 1921 high relief Peace Dollar. My fear is that it would arrived “holed”, but took a chance anyways. Received a general circulated coin with no major flaws, holes, or rim issues. It would grade in the good to very good range. It works in my coin book, to close out the set (I have a much better 1921 that is graded and in NGC holder). My book looked a little odd having a 1921 Morgan in the place of the 1921 Peace Dollar, so I wanted to fix the set. I am very pleased with my “cull” coin.
- Pros
- Value (low premium over spot)
- Cons
- Common (higher mintage)
- Bottom Line
- Yes, I would recommend this to a friend.
