It was my understanding that a BU would only have minor surface scratches. The one I received has the details of a BU but major scratches on the entire cheek and what looks like (almost) someones initials etched along the jaw line. The reverse is more of the BU I expected. Other coins I have purchased have met my expectations and I will continue to order from APMEX.
- Pros
- Attractive Design
- Collectible (lower mintage)
- Recognized Brand
- Cons
- Poor Condition
- Bottom Line
- No, I would not recommend this to a friend
Merchant response: We are sorry to hear that the quality of the coin is not entirely consistent with BU. Our Returns Dept will contact you soon to offer a replacements.
