Not quite a BU

By  JohnDe

from Rogue River, OR.

2.0

It was my understanding that a BU would only have minor surface scratches. The one I received has the details of a BU but major scratches on the entire cheek and what looks like (almost) someones initials etched along the jaw line. The reverse is more of the BU I expected. Other coins I have purchased have met my expectations and I will continue to order from APMEX.

Pros

  • Attractive Design
  • Collectible (lower mintage)
  • Recognized Brand

Cons

  • Poor Condition

It's as if I walked into a bank with my paycheck in the 1800s and was handed this Morgan Silverdollar. What a beautiful piece of history of the Carson city mint

Pros

  • Collectible (lower mintage)
