1917 $1.00 Legal Tender George Washington XF (Fr#36)
The $1.00 Legal Tender George Washington note has been the lowest denomination in circulation in the United States since 1876, the year that U.S. mints stopped the production of fractional currencies. The portrait of George Washington on the note is based on a painting by Gilbert Stuart from 1796. Most $1 notes display wear and tear due to high circulation, but this note has been certified in Extra Fine condition, perfect for any U.S. currency collection.
