Chopmarked Morgan dollars are very rare! A Chop Mark is a small punched impression applied by merchants and banks in the Orient to attest to the full weight and metallic content of a coin. It is often seen on US Trade dollars, but not often seen on Morgan Dollars. This coin has a chop mark right below Liberty's ear on the obverse. Unfortunately, the reverse has some light scratches.
