APMEX offers a fantastic selection of high denomination currency ($500 or more). The largest denomination of currency ever printed in the U.S. was the $100,000 Series 1934 Gold Certificate which featured a portrait of President Wilson. As time has gone on, the U.S. Treasury has gradually discontinued high denomination currency for various reasons. Luckily, some of the high denomination currency printed in the past has survived the years and is now extremely collectible.
